Aventura HOA board members.

  • Jim Hirsch

    PRESIDENT

    An Aventura resident since 2022, Jim serves as our HOA President. He previously spent 18 years as Associate Superintendent for Academic and Technology Services at Plano Independent School District. 

  • Alison Garahan

    SECRETARY

    Alison has lived at Aventura since 2008 and joined the board in 2025. She works as a Certified Personal Risk Manager providing insurance and risk management services to high-net-worth clients.

  • Colin Turney

    TREASURER

    Colin has served as Director and Treasurer since joining the board in 2021. He works as a Creative Director at an advertising agency and has called Aventura home since 2016. 

  • Roxanne Chang

    DIRECTOR

    Roxanne has called Aventura home since 2019, but is most at home with a spreadsheet open in front of her. She works as a budget controller at an international IT firm and joined the board in 2025.

  • Mike Doherty

    DIRECTOR

    Mike spent his career in engineering and operations roles in industries from chemicals to financial services to managed hosting. We’ve hosted him here at Aventura since 2019 and welcomed him to the board in 2026.
